German revision of the latest PAHs restriction requirements for GS certification

*Recently, the German product safety committee (AFPs) revised the restrictions on polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in German voluntary GS certification and formulated a new standard "AFPs GS 2019:01 Pak". The new standard was officially released by BAuA on its official website and will come into force on July 1, 2020, replacing the old standard "AFPs GS 2014:01 Pak".

The main contents of this revision are as follows:

1. Three PAHs requirements of acenaphtene [acenaphthene] (CAS no.83-32-9), fluorene [fluorene] (CAS no.86-73-7), acenaphthylene [acenaphthene] (CAS no.208-96-8) were deleted, and the controlled substances were changed from 18 to 15 PAHs.
